	Tashbaan The capital of Calormen, a city built on an island in the delta of the Calormen river. The city is surrounded by a great wall that rises out of the river, reached by long bridges on both banks, providing the only way to travel over the river for many miles. The banks of the river are lined with gardens and country houses. Though the city is hot and crowded, the streets are fine and it is home to magnificent palaces and gardens. The city is built on a natural slope, rising up to the palace of the Tisroc, and the great Temple of Tash at the pinnacle of the hill. 	Tisrocs Palace The palace of the Tisroc is described as magnificent beyond description and opens onto gardens that run right down to the river wall. It is unknown when the city was built, though it has been capital of Calormen and home to the Tisroc for many years. Calormen

The empire in the south of the world of Narnia. Most of the country has a semi-arid climate, and its most notable geographic features were a volcano known as the Flaming Mountain of Lagour, and the Great Desert. The Great Desert was in the northern part of the country, and the difficulty of crossing this desert prevented aggressive Calormene governments from invading Archenland and Narnia for centuries.
