It was amazing at how Peter was able to sleep after the day he had just had. He failed to protect Lucy from Jadis and as a result they were trapped in a winding series of caves. Had he been more able none of this would have happened. And then there was Aly. He was unable to save Aly from her horrible fate. It was unfair and it felt like the entire world was against him. He only wished Aslan was there. Could anyone really blame him for pinning this on Aslan just a little bit?
Regardless of the events Peter had fallen to sleep on the cold prison floor. His last thoughts before drifting off were of Alyissa and seeing her well again. It was dark for a long while but then Cair Paravel dissolved in front of his eyes followed by the beach and mermaids swimming and playing in the surf. Peter blinked and found himself standing on one of the balconies of Cair Paravel over looking the ocean.
He stared out at Narnia somehow it seemed peaceful. There was a feeling in his gut that told him this would not be like his other dream of late. He subconsciously understood that Edmund or any of his siblings for that matter would not die here by Jadis. He was looking at Narnia before Jadis returned to ruin everything. Peter felt at peace and there was knowledge that Lucy was safe and sound inside the castle probably having tea with Mr. Tumnus.
Peter rested his arms on the rail and leaned forward a broad smile slowly stretching across his face. It was perfect here and he didn’t want to leave, knowing full well that when he woke Jadis and Aphine would be waiting for him.
((i imagine this is what peter was dreaming about while he slept during Lucy & Vardin’s thread))

The only thing that Alyissa could remember was meeting up with a witch, Aphine, and a bright white light. She stared straight ahead with a terrified expression. Her last thoughts were of Peter and her brother, Matthew, whom she recently meet again. If she could, Alyissa would have been frowning right now. She was a stone statue. If she couldn't move then why was her mind wandering with thoughts and memories of the past? That to her was strange. But she welcomed them mentally. It was a blessing in itself.
Alyissa suddenly blinked. Blinked? No. That was impossible? She tried moving her arms and legs, stumbling and almost tripping to the ground. She was in an unknown room. Fear and panic swept over her. For a moment the young girl thought she was back in Calormen with Lord Marcus. She started to shake terribly as she stumbled out of the room. No. She was in Cair Paravel. Her thoughts returned to Peter and Matthew. Which one would she see first? The corners to her lips twitched upwards into a bright smile. She would see Peter first and then she would go to Matthew. After all, no one can blame her for seeing her boyfriend first.
Boyfriend. The thought made her tremble slightly. Was she starting to get over in her head? She let out a small gasp as she suddenly appeared on a balcony. Amazed, the young girl stared at everything. Was this a dream? It was to perfect to be real. She saw someone that made her heart stop. No. It couldn't be. "Peter?" Alyissa inquired, now standing next to him, her hands gripping the rail, looking at him with one of her brightest expression.

The knowledge that back in the world of the waking there was trouble beyond anything Peter had faced before. Even though he felt at peace here there was a nagging voice of reason that told him this was all a dream. Peter sighed and stared out at the ocean. Beyond the horizon were the Lone Islands and beyond, Aslan’s Country. How he wished he could be there right now. He needed to know everything would be all right, and only Aslan could reassure him of that right now.
Peter didn’t know how time worked in dreams but it felt like only a few minutes had passed before he was aware of another person standing next to him. He glanced over expecting to see Lucy or maybe even Susan or Edmund. The female voice was familiar and even in the split seconds before he glanced over Peter doubted who it was. There was no way it could be that person, even though he desperately wanted it to be.
He turned his head in the direction of the voice. His eyes started at the waist of the female form and gradually moved up until they landed on the face of the sweet Calormene girl that had stolen Peter’s heart. Peter felt his face grow hot and for what seemed to be hours, he couldn’t speak. His voice caught in his throat and all he wanted to do was take in the face of Alyissa. Peter licked his lips and stood up straight staring at Aly with a look of disbelief.
“Aly…how?” His voice was just a whisper. After processing her long enough Peter’s smile came back to him ten fold. His hand found Aly’s and closed around it. Nothing else filled his mind except for the joy that he felt upon seeing Aly alive and well. Without a moments hesitation Peter pulled Aly in close to him and did the one thing he had yet to do in real life, give her a true kiss.

Alyissa smiled brightly at him. Her blue eyes sparkled with pure joy. It didn’t matter how she was unfrozen. All that mattered was that she was alive and healthy and with Peter again. She shook her head. “I don’t know,” Alyissa replied, her voice soft. “It was like staring into space. I couldn’t move and couldn’t even stare.” She looked down. “It’s a feeling that I can’t describe or put into words,” she continued to stare up at him. She reached out and pressed her hand to his cheek, taking in a sharp breath. Was this a dream? It was to real to be a dream. Do I still have the scars? She wandered to herself and winced at her foolishness. Of course she still had those scars that came from the beatings while she was in Calormen. She thought they would have gone away while she was stone. She bit down on her lower lip. “I saw everything. That’s the scary part. I saw the fight between you and Aphine…” her voice trailed off as she closed her eyes, gripping the railing tightly with both hands that were turning white. “Before I saw you….you tearing everything. And I couldn’t even help you.” She turned away from him as tears start to trickle down her face. “I would have given everything to be with you…because I….I love you Peter,” Alyissa gazed up at him again. “I love you, and I know you wouldn’t do anything terrible to me. You haven’t.” she smiled a bit shyly at him, remembering the first time they had met. Was that really two months ago? It felt like a life time.
She moved close to him, not wanting to be away from him again. Alyissa wanted to be with him forever. She knew they were both young. Alyissa was long past the lost of self confidence she felt during her time as a slave. She knew she could do anything as long as she put her mind to it. Well almost anything. She grinned, seeing Peter’s smile. It was good to see him smile. She shivered a little as she tightly gripped his hand. Nothing would disrupt this moment. It was just the two of them. The way it should be. She wandered what he was going to do next. What he actually did, what she didn’t expect him to do, shocked her. He pulled her in and kissed her. Actually kissed her. Alyissa trembled and returned the kiss wrapping her arms around him and pulling him close to her. If this was a dream, the young girl didn’t want to wake up. Everything was perfect. She didn’t know that she was still a stone statue. She didn’t know that a war was going on or that the Pevensies were separated. All she knew was that, right at this moment, she felt perfectly blessed. As if nothing had ever happened. Alyissa pulled away from him after what felt like an eternity. The young girl took a deep breath and gazed deeply at him. A huge grin was starting to spread across her face. “I love you,” she whispered. Alyissa suddenly frowned, reaching out and stroking his cheek. Deep down inside her she felt that something was wrong. And wasn’t there? She shouldn’t even be moving. She shouldn’t even be here.
“Peter….is everything alright?” Alyissa asked, her voice soft as she wrapped her arms around him once more. She leaned her head on his chest and closed her eyes. She didn’t want this to end. It felt like paradise. She sighed softly to herself, enjoying the peaceful silence that had spread between the two young couple. “I feel like there’s something wrong. Something that shouldn’t be here,” she raised her head to look at him again, suddenly feeling scared and very, very frightened. Did Aslan have something to do with this as a matter of fact? Alyissa knew what he was capable of by the stories she had heard during her childhood. Those were, of course, false, as the Calormens tend to make the Narnian stories over the top. The good thing about it was that she was starting to find out what was the truth and what was false. “Peter?” Alyissa frowned as she leaned in forward and kissed him again gently, tightening her grip on him. She didn’t want this moment to go away. Alyissa wanted this to last forever until she was turned back and they could do this for real. [/size]

If perfection had a name it would be Alyissa. Peter found himself wrapped up in every word she spoke, and not the meaning of the words just the sound of them. Knowing this was a dream, Peter didn’t want to go over little details and risk waking up right before he got to spend actual time with Aly. His hand reached up and held her hand to his cheek. She felt real and not like stone as she once had been. The smile on his face faded when Aly mentioned the Aphine. Peter forced himself to recall what Aly had been talking about. When she turned away Peter moved after her to try and look her in the face. He saw the tears and there was a crushing feeling in his gut.
“Aly—“ His words were cut off by hers. This time he actually listened to the meaning of the words. There was a small sigh that escaped Peter’s lips. He stared at Aly for what seemed like forever. The corners of his lips pulled into a smile. As she moved in closer to Peter he wrapped his arms around her in a hug. He rested his head on hers.
“I love you too Aly.” Peter had never verbalized those thoughts and feelings before. He continued to hold her. Even when Aly whispered she loved him, Peter didn’t move. He wanted to stay close to her like this forever. The crushing feeling in Peter’s gut suddenly returned. As much as he hated to, Peter needed to remind himself that this was only a dream. When he’d wake up Peter would be back to square one. Peter would be locked up with that crazy witch, Narnia would be in serious trouble, he never would have spoken those words, and worst of all Aly would still be stone.
Peter looked down at Aly. He tried not to let the worry show on his face. He blinked and hesitated in answering Aly’s questions. There was a lump that formed in his throat. Peter swallowed hard to rid himself of it. He didn’t want to tell her, but he would have to wouldn’t he? She was just a figment of his imagination right now. Peter knew that the real Aly resided back at the real Cair Paravel.
That suddenly begged the question, if this Aly was the one Peter had dreamed up, did he only want Aly to say she loved him? Would the really real Aly return the feelings he held for her? With that new depressing revelation Peter turned his head away so he wouldn’t have to look Aly in the eyes. It was becoming too painful.
“We shouldn’t be here.” Peter said sadly. “We should be helping Lucy and the others. I should be helping you.”
