(ooc: Hmmm...maybe if we just don't give them names and talking roles (that'll be tricky) it will be fine. If they do come across the White Witch's wolves then Tenus will either end their friendly relationship altogether or make it shaky again, like when he yelled at Pip.) BIC: Tenus blinked at Pip. "Now, now, Pip, being insecure never helped anybody..." The Owl started thinking about what kind of example he could use to help the Dog. He felt it was necassary, "...Would the Pevensies free Narnia if they were insecure?" He mentally winced at talking about those brats-the Pevensie children. But if he used Jadis as an example his cover would be blown away like a leaf in the autumn wind. The Barn Owl looked forward, flapping his wings anxiously. Pip better be right about these wolves-and he better not chicken out either! If he does, I'll have to take down this annoying Dog myself...if he chickens out, I could just take him to the Wolves, but if they're isn't...Hmmm...That'll be problem... He frowned, digging his talons deep into the earth as he thought.

The example worked, though, and Pip brightened once more. "No Sir, I doubt they would!" he said. The young dog turned and bounded off once more after the scent, new purpose put within him.
He felt sure he was going to find something this time, and that his scent he'd smelled was right.
In fact he was so sure, he almost rushed upon and surprised what they were tracking by prematurely bounded out. Pausing, and hoping the dirt scattered by his sudden stop wasn't too noticeable, Pip both caught his breath and peered past the tree stump.
"There he is!" the pup smiled with triumph as he spotted a wolf, sniffing about as well. The pup frowned, "Hmm...I wonder what he's up to..."

The wolves'll help me bring Pip to her Majesty... Tenus thought before Pip's voice smacked him away from his conspiring, "Err...yes, yes, very good, Pip!" The Owl said, frantically nodding. He followed the Dog excitedly, butterflies fluttering about in his gizzard.
"You found him!?" Tenus gasped, his voice barely a whisper, "Okay...okay...I'll go fly overhead...you stay here...understand...?" The Barn Owl whispered urgently, "Don't bound in unless I tell you to..."

Pip nodded, "Yes Sir". The pup wasn't one to argue, not unless there was a good reason, but arguments ran past his own mind as to why he probably shouldn't hang back. What if Tenus needed help, well he'd call, as he'd said. But why was he being now pushed aside and told to wait when he'd found the wolf in the first place? Probably safety and his young age...again.
Pip sighed inwardly, he knew the Narnian inhabitants, and Wally at times, meant well, keeping a young pup under the age of his prime, such as himself, out of trouble and safe, especially now; but...Pip had a lot he could help with, and he longed to do just that. And he was, he reminded himself, he'd found a wolf hadn't he, and no one would dispute that.
Plus Pip's thoughts on feeling disappointed by being treated like a pup were always confused since he knew what it was like to worry over someone younger, he worried over Piper all the time. Yeah his mind reminded him, you give her what you complain over all the time, but that was different. You were suppose to unfairly coddle you little sisters, it was a set rule.
As Tenus took off, Pip watched him, eagerly keeping his eyes on the owl in case he needed his help.

((Alright here's at least one specific wolf character we can use here. If we need other background wolves or what not we can NPC those as we said))
The fresh and in his prime wolf, of that position most, if not all wolves held of in Her Majesty, Jadis' ranks, Jett, snarled to himself as he paced the other way within the clearing he currently occupied. Nothing. One would have thought in this miserable lawn and the woods about, that those pathetic Narnians were known to inhabit, he would have found something to scare senseless and then dispose of or bring to the higher ranking wolves or even Jadis herself, depending on the usefulness of said creature...but he'd come upon nothing so far!
"What, are they all hiding?" he snarled frustratedly, then smirked, "Probably so, given her Majesty's return". It brought joy to Jett's being, this fact. They had Jadis back. They'd one over-ed that accursed Lion and the kids to have ruined his, and the others, life in the first place; and soon they would have it all back.
Almost in everything now going right, as soon as he thought of this, Jett picked up a fresh new scent, of animals possibly just making it to the clearing. Owl and Dog he gathered. Hmm, possible scare targets, depending on what type of dog they were dealing with. Jett secretly hoped it wasn't a breed bigger than him.
He wanted to say there was something vaguely familiar in the owl scent, like he'd smelled it before about and around the others of Jadis' army, but wasn't sure.
He sniffed again to get more information on both of these chance findings, as well as possibly a direction.

Tenus glided over Jett, and perched on a beech tree. Acting as if the wolf wasn't there, Tenny unfolded his left wing and preened himself absent mindedly, "Hmmm...I was hoping you were a tad older...but you will do, I suppose," He said, still cleaning his wing.
Coolly, Tenus lifted his head so he could stare down the wolf, "You are a wolf of Queen Jadis, yes?" If this was a wolf on Aslans side, Tenus would be so shocked that he'd be knocked out of his feathers!

As the owl scent got closer, Jett raised his head and soon spotted the creature on a branch. He was about the call out an inquiry of his own, when the owl's all but distracted words paused him.
A bit older... He'd 'do'!
Jett snarled, "I'd watch what I say, bird! I've snapped bigger vertebrates than yours!".
At the next question, Jett's eyes narrowed suspiciously, "Who wants to know..." he questioned.
Jett sniffed about for an ambush that might be forming or such as this owl talked to him, one could never be too careful...especially since he did still scent a dog nearby.

Tenny rolled his eyes, and with a cool voice spoke, "Oh, please. If you really think I'm frightened of you're dead wrong." Tenus blinked at Jett.
With a snort, Tenus glided down and landed softly a foot away from Jett, "I do, that's who. Now listen here, wolf, I'm with Jadis, and since you are a wolf, I'm going to assume you are too. Now listen, I care nothing about that miserable little pussy-cat those brats, the Pevensies, call a Lion. All I want is for him and his followers dead. But luckily for me, I found one. A Dog. Said he's a spy for Aslan. Not much, I have to say. Found him tripping over a root. Anyway, not much or not, he's got to have information about the enemy. All spies do. So, I need you to back me up with capturing the runt. I really don't need help, but still..." Tenus looked over his wing to make sure that Pip, or anybody else, hadn't heard him. The Barn Owl looked back at Jett, both his eyes and voice cold, "So, what do you say, want to help? Could get you a promotion or something..."

As he peered down at where Tenus still...spoke to or tried to confuse the owl, Pip began to pace a bit nervously and anxiously. Doubts and questions were starting to form as he kept looking at the two animals just standing off, neither lunging. What was going on down there? You're a fool his mind began to whisper for the first time, Come on, those dog senses telling you nothing? You know this doesn't feel or look right. Pip still couldn't come up with a reason for why this would be wrong though, the thought of a traitorous other talking animal not a wolf so hard to get past and into his mind. Always, ever since birth and hearing of it and then seeing it in what he could remember better, it had been the wolves on Jadis' side and the other animals huddled together for comfort and protection in their survival. Even if he hadn't grown exclusively here and had spent time in Archenland, he knew this. Yet...Jadis had always had her spies, even Narnian spies, as Pip had heard. Otherwise loyal fauns made to...ok that story of what he'd heard wasn't the best example, but it proved a point. Pip had just frowned, and his pacing turned more worried sort of anxious when a twittering above him drew his attention. It was a small robin. [can't resist playing with color even for Temps, so fun ] "Pst, Pst" it twittered, the small head jerking, "Are, are you with the owl; the one over there?" it clipped out in a manner still fitting a bird's chirp as it hopped along the branch, peering at the pup curiously. Still looking a bit stunned, in a curious way, Pip gave a slow nod. The robin frowned, "Oh...then you are the dog!". Pip immediately didn't like the way that was said. "The dog?" he asked, worry creeping into his voice. The bird's frown was sort of pitying. "The dog, the one the owl spoke of leading here to...I was over there, on the branch" the bird tried to get to the point, but hesitancy over such bad news and the flighty manner she just held naturally got in the way, "...heard them talk. He lead you here. Lead you to the wolf""No that's impossible, I found the wolf" Pip immediately interposed, sounding every bit the unbelieving, worried, naive child he apparently was. So much for saying he had world knowledge, he was no better than Piper at times. The robin tilted her head, yet went on immediately un-detoured, "Then the one he's using the wolf to bring back". Pip had no answer for this, a crafty, traitorous owl very much could turn what he'd been doing against him and for it's own purpose. Anger at himself and the owl crept up, "Why that...". "You should fly, child". The wolf was already glancing with interest his way. Pip waited until he turned aside his attention just a bit and then the pup turned as well, in the other direction. "T-thankyou!" he managed to hoarsely get out in thanks before he took off. The robin nodded, hopping along the branch to watch and pray for the pup, all a small robin like her was equipped to do beyond her whistle blowing.

Jett listened as the owl both spoke and flew down closer. He had to say his first intuition as the owl said he was with Jadis was suspicion...but then one had to usually be suspicious about everything that didn't have firm truth behind it to not be taken for a fool or tricked.
As he spoke his words on 'Queen Jadis' and 'that pussycat', Jett listened intently to the tone, searching for any clues as to if this owl were putting on a show or pulling him along.
He doubted even the most crafty of Aslan's followers (if those two descriptions could go together) could speak with such loyalty to Jadis' reference and disdain to the other accordingly.
"Hmm, well if I wasn't on Her Majesty's side, I'd say you've said too much already" he said as the owl finished, then thought over the proposition.
Jett had no pride issues at all to following a chain of command as need be among the witch's followers, but he doubted an owl, even a loyal owl, was worth such bother. No, in this endeavor Jett was above him just in that superiority wolves as a species held.
The creature couldn't even decide if he needed Jett's help or not!
"A spy you say? Hmm, not a bad catch all in all" it was unsure if there was praise in this statement at all.
"Yes, I wouldn't mind bringing her Majesty one of those..." Jett went on as he glanced in the direction he knew the dog to still be scouting out from, probably under some false pretense of the owl 'dealing with him'. This calm talk was likely to have confused by now.
He turned to the one offering all of this."But look here owl, we...", Jett was cut off in his putting this owl in his place and curbing any high and mighty ideas he might have as his peripherals caught a flash of brown and white turn tail and run, next spotting a small robin that had escaped his notice before. Blast it all his suspicion had been right!
"...I'd say we now have that challenge before us" Jett amended what he'd been about to say before taking off at a run. He was all for team work with the owl, on this occasion, yet it didn't escape the just grown wolf that now, with another chase of the fugitive, who was worthy of praise for bringing in this dog, should he prove useful, was now up in the air.
He could gain it with an effective block or move of any kind in detaining or keeping the youth in place and didn't necessarily need to be the owl's aid, so, for his own credit to all of this, Jett put on as much speed as he could to overtake the pup before the owl.

"OH, GREAT!" Tenus yelled as Pip darted away. Before he knew, Jett was going after him faster than any land-beast Tenus had ever seen. The Barn Owl hopped into the sky, and with a flap of his wings he soared through the wind, For now on, I'm killing every Robin I see... Tenny thought with a curse, wishing he could dig his talon's into the Robin's red chest, but he knew it would just be a waste of time.
What Jett had in running speed, Tenus had in flying speed. Soon, his shadow loomed above Jett's shoulders, "Great Gizzards, if only there were more wolves..." He whispered angrily. If there were more wolves, then that would mean an easier capture, but unfortunately, Tenus would have to hope that their speed could capture the young Pip. Hissing, Tenny flapped as hard as he could, pushing himself and his wings to their limit. Even to his surprise, Tenus was able to beat Jett in speed, and with his eyes narrowing into slits, Tenus dived toward Pip. Talons out-stretched...

Jett also wished they could take the robin out, but both time and his lack of flying ability halted that. To be honest, a part of him had feared Tenus might pause for such, but he was both pleased and disappointed to see the owl not do such and keep on with first him and then the pup.
That competitive sense made Jett want to growl in frustration at the owl over-taking him, but he could still find some way of asserting worth in all this, and first and foremost was to not lose the pup!
Almost as Tenus spoke his wish of their being more wolves, Jett gave out what sounded like two short yips, but for any of his fellows that might have been about, it was enough. He doubted the pup warranted a full blown howl of mass group gathering.
As they gained two more fellows, Jett figured it was enough. "We think the kid might be useful, round him off" the 'order' only held as much power as one friend or equal talking to another but the others were of a like mind as Jett that they were capable of completing objectives when left without a higher ranking individual and just nodded.
Jett sighed to himself a bit inwardly, both of these wolves were older and he just knew he might have just given up any claim laying ot the capture of the pup. Still, Jett had and he would lay to it that he found the pup...first of the wolves, the owl didn't count.
With the help of his fellows forming a block on either side to sort of box the pup in to the direction they wanted him to go, Jett snuck around in a direction probably not too noticeable to cut around the front.
The owl didn't do too bad himself, Jett realized as he heard a frightened gasp and realized it was the pup.
The two other wolves immediately moved over to block the pup in as the owl dove.
"Careful!" Jett called, half snapped, "We don't want to kill him...yet.
With the pup effectively blocked in, Jett walked forward, "Well, that was fun, but from now on and with all four of us, I'd dispense with any running...gate pup".
As both Pip and others of those helping him turned to Jett, the wolf smirked, "Yeah, just figured out why I had a slight feeling I'd seen you before, you're always about those gates with that guard of the castle". Jett laughed, "I don't care if you are a true spy or not, kid, you're useful anyway". Jett wasn't exactly sure how yet, but he or others of higher rank would figure that one out.
"Now get moving!" he snapped as he began, with his fellows and the owl's help to herd the pup towards where he knew atleast some of the Witch's army to lie, yet by the winding path used for such so that he would lose sense of direction even as they traveled there.

Pip struggled to keep his mind sharp and working and not fall into panic as he charged on. Oh why had he made such a big to-do about spying, once they realized he didn't really know anything of any importance they were just gonna kill him! That or use him as leverage, though he doubted anyone would put a kingdom in jeopardy for one little pup as himself though. Sure the Kings and Queens were Narnia's protectors, but they were having problems of their own at the moment from what he'd heard and had to (and rightly) focus on getting themselves out of it.
Where he'd gotten all this information to begin with, hanging about the castle gates as he did, due to Wally's position, suddenly gave Pip an idea into how he could be useful for getting information out of.
True, there wasn't anything 'juicy' he knew at the moment, but...one certain guard cared an aweful lot about where he was at a given moment and that could be used to gain something; or...
Pip cringed at the last thought, and he wasn't sure where it came from, the thought of him, sent back with a wolf to shadow him and fear induce make him find something out for them...but Pip would die before he'd do something like that against their kind Kings and Queens.
Vaguely, as he ran, Pip noticed two wolves begin to flank him on either side and he glanced this way and that, trying to think through this new development when a screech sounded. Glancing up, Pip noticed Tenus, now truly showing his colors, in a dive bomb straight for him!
Blocked in as he was, Pip was able to just barely dodge out of the way of any deadly scratches, though he received a few minor ones as the owl darted by.
"You traitorous, low life little...", Pip's rant and want at Tenus was halted as another wolf, the one to have been talking to Tenus, walked up.
Pip's worst fears he'd just been mulling over were confirmed with the wolf's words...gate pup...he knew, everything Pip had prayed he didn't.
Not standing much, of any at all, of a chance against all the adult animals, Pip had no choice but to turn as commanded.
"May Aslan strike you all dumb for this!" he spat, "Well I don't care what you think I know, I don't and I'm not gonna talk!"

Tenus was smirking as he helped the wolves herd Pip away to her Majesty's, Queen Jadis, army, "Ohoho!" He laughed, unable to contain his happiness, "Please, silly Mutt, Aslan's not going to do anything for you, or your precious Pevensies, so do shut up about your maned kitty-cat," Tenus chuckled, but before Pip could argue, his mood suddenly changed from over-joyed to malicious glee, "Heh! You must think you're so brave! Saying you're not going to talk! But you don't know what we have, you don't know what we do, and soon, you'll wish you were never born, pup...." Tenny went back into a fit of giggles, but surprisingly, did a good job of guarding the prisoner as he did so.
The Barn Owl's eyes were cold, and his cruel smirk grew wider on his beak. His muscles were tensed, his wings ready to fly, and talons ready to kill, in case Pip tried to escape, "Remember when you said, 'I can find the Witch and her army just like that'...? At least, I believe it was something like that...Now, tell me, Mutt, don't you think it's kind of ironic that a loyal servant of Jadis found you, just like that? Heh heh!" Tenus giggled.
If Pip had seen any life or sympathy in the Owls eyes when he first met him, it definitely must have died.
