Vidar could hardly believe that such a wonder could exist anywhere. Unbeknown to himself three years ago a great battle had been fought in this area for the existence of Narnia. He could tell, however, that this place had a great history to it. He couldn't imagine it not having a history; the mere beauty of the place was beyond belief that such a wonder didn't have more inhabitants. Or perhaps the people of this world wished to keep beauty at its most natural in the wilderness rather than attempt to domesticate it in their own back yard. Vidar didn't really consider the latter a personal preference, and was happy to see the natural beauty. He had temporarily forgotten that he was in a world that completely didn't belong to him, and was several more moments later before he realized that he was alone, or at least without his constant companion.
"Bella?" he asked to the open air. Silence, besides the chirping of birds or the rolling of grass against the wind was the only answer to his call. He glanced up at the sky, still surprised that a sky could be so blue and perfect before rolling his head downward, to face the crown. Vidar sighed, though the corners of his lips turned upward in a half smile. "That girl will be the death of me," he said to himself in a half chuckle. She must have fallen behind while he moved his way in this direction. He wished he hadn't been so excited when seeing this landscape. She moved so much slower than he did sometimes. Or perhaps she hadn't been so interested in this as he had.
He quickly climbed to the top of the cliffs as best as he could without hurting himself or falling. Once at the top, Vidar couldn't help but take a moment yet again. The view was even more spectacular from up here. Almost like a dream. Never had he seen such a landscape in all of Tabluna. A few seconds later he got over his obsession and scanned the horizon as best as he could against the glare of the sun, which was much greater from where he now stood. Hardly anything stuck out in his view that could remotely be Bella. Perhaps his view was cut from her because of the rocks below. He quickly and carefully made his way down again before moving back the way he came, somewhat mumbling to himself. How many times had he told her? Don't stray away. In a world like this anything could be possible, and almost everything was a danger.

Bellatrix had been down at the ford, washing her face and taking a cool drink. She needed it after their long hike. Of course, Shadow hadn’t been paying the least bit of attention to her and went ahead without her. Sometimes, his mind could be so one tracked he would forget how to tie his shoelaces. Bella quickly followed his tracks, which was somewhat hard, considering he was very good at hiding them himself.
Grumbling as she walked, it was a short while until she actually reached Beruna, upon where she heard Vidar calling her name. A smile spread across her face. He hadn’t deliberately left her. Not that she’d ever think something like that, but still. She quickly climbed as best as she could through the maze of huge rocks that jutted out from every which direction. This cursed place was a Labyrinth, and Vidar shouldn’t have left her. Especially after their fun little encounter back at the abandoned house in the cliff.
“Shadow!” Bella called as she did her best to make her way through the rocks toward where she thought his voice had come from. After meeting the Paladin, Bella had it set in her mind that this was not a world she particularly wanted to be in. Nevertheless, Shadow seemed to have an interest in it, so wherever he decided to go, she would follow without question.

The sound of Bella's voice calling for him informed of her obvious lagging behind. A smile tugged at his lips, though his mind remained cautious of his surroundings. Anything and everything could possibly exist within the realms of this new world. He made his way back the way he came, seeing a small movement of Bella's blonde hair, almost a platinum gold in the sunlight, whipping behind her before disappearing behind a rock. With a chuckle and a sigh he moved in the direction she disappeared to.
"Bellatrix," he said, his mouth now in a thin line, his voice scolding, but eyes still sparkling at her, thankful she was safe at least. "How many times must I tell you. It's not safe to wander off on yourself in this world. Have you forgotten the Paladin?" The mere mention of the frightening woman even scared him. Bella didn't need to get into another one of those messes. At least not without him. He was going to be more cautious about possibly leaving her behind. As this was a foreign land, his instincts weren't as sharp, but his focus was all the more.
"We need to find any other Maguses here," he said, knowing it was rather obvious. He knew Bella probably would give him some form of attitude for it, but it was something she needed to hear. Bella was too rash and her actions were unexpected in her actions, sometimes he felt like a babysitter. But he wouldn’t ever leave her. That he vowed on his life.

Paladin... Bella grumbled to herself. Vidar hadn't given her two seconds to forget about that incident. Not like she wouldn't have been able to remember had he forgotten to remind her. It had been one of the most terrifying incidences she'd ever experienced. She had felt like she was going to die. That only heightened her hatred of the race of Paladins. Every single one of them deserved to be buried six feet under the ground and burn in the Afterlife. All of them destroyed the lives of innocent victims, torn families apart because of some stupid differences in how they used magic. If anyone was an abomination to the Tablunians, it was the Paladins. While Magus's used nature's magic, the Paladins had to get high on some spiritual power that was beyond what should have been normal.
"How could I forget?" she asked, her tone hinted deeply with annoyance and sarcasm, "I was there. I fought her. I'm not about to forget that anytime soon. I promise." She pursed her lips and walked past Vidar, attempting to act annoyed so the subject would be quickly dropped.
The thought that they needed to find other Maguses quickly changed her attitude. Her mouth relaxed into a slight frown and the fire in her eyes faded. Despite their trouble, and the need for others to understand what was going on, Bella couldn't help but continue to want more time alone with Vidar. Things were all too chaotic back at home in Tabluna, kind of like now, but at least here they were with each other without hiding. They could be themselves. But as always Vidar was always thinking of duty rather than what they had in that moment. Bella let out a huff and trudged ahead forward, suddenly moody once again.

The last thing Vidar wanted was to get into an argument with Bellatrix. She had a hot temper as it was and once it got going, it was like a steam engine: no telling when it would stop. He let out a soft sigh and hung his head for a moment, allowing her to let off steam without too much counter annoyance. The last thing he wanted was for her to lash out at him.
Vidar watched Bella with a skeptical stare. No matter how many times she may have promised she wouldn't go running into trouble, it would be that many more times that trouble would find her. And now that he knew that Paladins had gotten through, it was that much more dangerous for them. They had to find the other Maguses here and fast. He pulled Bellatrix into a hug. "Everything is going to be alright, I promise." He squeezed her tighter, not quite letting go yet. Vidar would never aloud that he was scared, but he was. He needed as much reassurance that she was there and wouldn't go looking for trouble as she needed him there to protect her.
After a few more moments he let go and kissed her forehead. "Come on," he urged quietly, looking around again to see if anyone else was there and could possibly jump out at them. He had to be cautious at all times. "It might also be a good idea if we find out who runs this place. Maybe they could help us." He took Bella's hand and gently led her along their path.
